We regret to
announce that John Mahan, M.D., passed away in May of 2006.
Dr.
Mahan founded
our practice in 1958. He was born in
Ohio
and received his bachelor’s degree from
Denison
University
. He attended medical school at
Northwestern
University
and graduated in 1951. Dr. Mahan entered the Air Force in 1953 and was
stationed at the Orlando Air Force Base. He returned to
Ohio
after his service was completed and finished his residency. Dr. Mahan
was board certified in otolaryngology.
In
1958, he moved to
Winter Park
and opened his solo medical practice. His practice eventually expanded
to our current roster of 10 physicians. He retired from practice in 2000
after 42 years of dedication to providing the finest care for his
patients. His commitment continues as his associates carry on his legacy.
