May is Better Hearing and Speech Month

It’s estimated that approximately 43 million people in the United States suffer from a speech, voice, language, or hearing impairment.

Each May, Better Hearing & Speech Month (BHSM) provides an opportunity to raise awareness about communication disorders and the treatment options available to patients.

For 2019, the theme is “Communication Across the Lifespan.”

We’ve set up this hearing and speech resource page with videos and articles discussing common issues and treatment options from some of our voice and hearing specialists.

Better Hearing

Our certified and licensed audiologists work with our physicians to provide the most comprehensive care. No matter what your hearing or balance issue may be, The Hearing and Balance Center is here to help you experience relief.

Better Speech

Whether you are experiencing hoarseness, a “whispery” voice, a tense voice or an issue relating to throat cancer, the dedicated Voice Care Center is here to help you speak loud and clear (and without pain).
