About the Voice and Swallowing Center at ENTPSA
We offer a full range of diagnostic and therapeutic services for both voice and swallowing concerns. Our goal is to provide high-quality, collaborative care — and we’re always happy to coordinate with our physicians to make sure patients get what they need efficiently.
Voice Services
We see a wide variety of patients, from professional singers and teachers to individuals recovering from vocal trauma or dealing with chronic voice changes. Some of the voice-related services we offer include:
- Rigid and flexible videostroboscopy, done by the SLP in Winter Park or Michigan St Office
- Voice evaluations for professional and casual voice users
-
Therapy for:
- Muscle tension dysphonia
- Spasmodic dysphonia
- Vocal fold bowing and age-related voice changes
- Chronic cough/throat clearing and paradoxical vocal fold motion
- Vocal cord trauma and benign/malignant pathologies
- LPR induced hoarseness
Patients can do voice therapy in person at either our Winter Park or Michigan Street locations, or via telehealth if that’s more convenient.
We also offer a combined videostrobe + physician visit where I (or one of our SLPs) perform the videostroboscopy, then bring the doctor in to review it with the patient. It’s efficient and saves the patient from having to make two trips to the office, as the rest of their eval and therapy can be completed via telehealth.
Swallowing Services
Our swallowing services are based out of the Winter Park location, and we treat patients with everything from very mild issues to severe dysphagia. We work with:
- Vocal cord insufficiency
- Head and neck cancer
- Muscle tension dysphagia
- Age-related changes
- Neurological disorders (e.g., stroke, Parkinson’s, ALS)
- Reflux-related swallowing issues (which is a particular focus of mine)
We also see a lot of cervical spine patients — both
pre-op (to document baseline vocal fold and swallow function)
and post-op (for rehab and recovery support).
We also offer Fiberoptic Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallow at the Winter Park office, followed by dysphagia therapy, which can also be completed in person, or via telehealth.
