Emily Cole is a licensed speech-language pathologist specialized in assessment and treatment of voice, upper airway, and swallowing disorders. She joined the Ear, Nose, Throat and Plastic Surgery Associates in 2021 where she completed her clinical fellowship. Before that, she graduated with her Master of Science in Speech Language Pathology at Northwestern University which included an externship at the Department of Otolaryngology at Northwestern Memorial Hospital, in Chicago. As a clinical voice specialist and singing voice specialist, she is passionate about vocal rehabilitation of professional voice users including singers across all styles. Emily has spoken regionally on topics including vocal health for singers and voice specialization in the field of speech language pathology at professional organizations, and most recently at the Florida Association of Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists (FLASHA) Convention.
Prior to pursing her career as a voice clinician, she received her Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance at Millikin University. As a professional jazz vocalist in Europe, where she lived for 9 years, she performed at music festivals in France, Spain, Germany, Italy, and Switzerland. Emily continues to regularly perform jazz professionally in Central Florida and France. As a choir member of the Bach Festival Society of Winter Park, she continues to sing in an oratorio setting. Emily is a certified member of the American Speech and Hearing Association (ASHA) holding the Certificate of Clinical Competency (CCC-SLP) and is an associate member of Pan American Vocology Association (PAVA).
